The trades who won't come for a half-day job.
We built our calendar around exactly these.

Sticking doors. Cracked coving. Dripping taps. Dead sockets. We show up at a real booked time, clear the whole list in one visit, and charge a rate that's agreed before we start.

Why we're different

The repairs service that actually shows up — at the time you agreed.

Six specific things that separate us from every handyman who told you 'between 8 and 12' and arrived at 3.

A real start time — not a window

"We'll be there between 8 and 12" is not a start time. We book a specific slot and we show up for it.

Half-day minimum, no call-out fee

Transparent pricing from the beginning. No surprise call-out charge on top of the hourly rate.

One visit, multiple trades

Our repairs team covers plaster, paint, electrics and plumbing. One visit can clear a whole list.

No job too small

Most tradespeople won't leave their van for a half-day job. We will. Our repairs calendar is built around it.

How it works

Four steps — no portals, no holding music, no chasing.

You call or email. We confirm the scope, show up at the agreed time, and send a clear invoice the same day.

01

Book your slot

Call or email with a description of the jobs. We'll confirm whether it's a half-day or full-day scope and give you specific available dates — not a four-hour arrival window.

Usually available within 5 working days
02

We confirm the scope

A brief call or message the day before to confirm the job list and any materials we need to bring. No surprises on the day about what was or wasn't included.

Day before reminder included
03

On-site assessment & work

We arrive at the agreed time, assess each job, confirm the scope and get started. If anything's more involved than expected, we tell you before touching it.

Multi-trade where required
04

Sign-off & invoice

Walk through the completed jobs with you. Invoice issued same day with a clear line for each task completed. No ambiguity about what was done and what it cost.

Same-day invoice

Still chasing someone who said they'd be there Tuesday?

We book a specific time, not a window. Half-day minimum. One visit clears multiple jobs. Usually available within five working days.

Frequently asked

General repairs questions, answered.

Is there a minimum charge?

Half a day. We don't do hour-long callouts — it's not economical for either of us, and it usually doesn't allow enough time to do a job properly. A half-day covers most small job lists.

Can you do multiple different jobs in one visit?

Yes — and it's how most of our repair bookings work. One visit can cover a sticking door, a cracked plaster patch, a dripping tap and a dead socket. Tell us the full list when you book and we'll bring the right materials and skills.

What if you discover something bigger once you start?

We stop, show you what we've found, and quote separately before continuing. We never extend the scope without your agreement. If the additional work is significant, we'll schedule a return visit with the right trade.

Do you do electrics? Are you certified?

Yes — minor electrical works including socket and switch replacement, light fitting installation, fault finding and circuit testing. For work that requires notification under Part P (new circuits, bathroom electrics), we have our NICEIC-registered electrician who can attend.

Can you do sash window repairs?

Yes — sash cord and weight replacement is one of our most common jobs. We also do draught-sealing, spiral balance replacement on modern sashes, and general sash servicing.

Do you serve occupied properties and tenanted homes?

Yes — the majority of our repair work is in occupied homes. We work cleanly, protect floors and furniture, and leave habitable space throughout. Landlord instructions and tenant access can be coordinated through us.

How do I book?

Call 07405 739028 or send an email to info@corebuildgroup.co.uk with a description of the jobs. We typically have availability within five working days and can often be faster for urgent issues.

Still have questions? Call 07405 739028 (Mon–Sat, 7am–7pm) or email info@corebuildgroup.co.uk.
